PART 3: VISA

❗️Note

Although their website says they take walk-ins, they currently (Summer 2024) DO NOT take in anyone who does not have an appointment.

If you're of Korean descent, please do your research beforehand or contact the consulate if there are additional documents you might need.

In Hawai'i, you have to go to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea

The visa appointment takes 15-20 minutes and once you submit all the correct documents, you will receive instructions on how to check the status of your visa application. Once the status is 'Approved', you will be able to download the Visa Grant Notice and print it out.

🎐 Visa Application Documents

-  For a semester exchange in Korea, a D-2-6 student visa is needed.

- MIX has visa guides here, but I HIGHLY suggest going to the consulate's official website instead for better document requirements.

-  I did my visa as soon as I got my admission packet from Yonsei and it was completed within ~2 weeks.
